Parking
Parking spaces are available in the driveway, in front of the garage doors or in the side extension.
Trash
Please place all trash in the red container in the driveway to the left of the door. All items to be recycled go into the blue container. Vermont takes recycling very seriously and will issue fines for non-compliance. Please follow the guidelines in the Vermonters Guide to Recycling
Trash & recycling pickup is early Tuesday morning, we will move the containers to the curb on Monday evening.
Quiet Hours
This is your home while you stay with us however, we do have neighbors and noise carries, therefore, please keep the noise down after 10 pm and before 8 am. (Please note, due to proximity to the airport, there is occasional air traffic noise, including brief spurts as F35 jets take off between 9am and 2pm Monday-Friday).
Accessible Areas
The entire house is yours to enjoy with the exception of the garage and the owner’s closet downstairs.
Laundry
The washer and dryer are in the downstairs bathroom and are available for use throughout your stay. Please leave the washer door ajar when not in use to allow air to circulate and avoid mildew within the washer.
Deck Use
Feel free to enjoy use of the deck, deploying the umbrella for comfort. To avoid risk of damage from high winds, please lower umbrella when not in use.
Fire Pit
We just installed a new fire pit in the backyard for your enjoyment! We have a wood rack that we will keep stocked. Our wood supply is for you to use but it is not limitless, if you use it all up you can text Jolie to find where to get more. Please be careful! It goes without saying that we want you to be safe so use caution when lighting the fire and never leave the fire unattended, when it is down to embers it is fine. Don’t put the cover on it while it is hot please.
Climate Control
House temperature is set in zones. The upstairs gas fireplace is not really large enough to be used for heat, therefore please turn it off when not actively enjoying it. The downstairs fireplace is not working currently so please don’t attempt to operate it.
Kids
There is a pack n play in the downstairs bedroom and clean sheets for the mattress inside it for your use. We also have a stair guard that we recommend you to use in the closet door next to the top of the stairs in the hallway. Please feel free to use that for your children and pets.
Smoke-free Property
This is a smoke-free property. Smoking and vaping in any form is strictly prohibited anywhere in or on the property.
Pets
Unless pre-approved, no animals are allowed inside or outside on the property at any time. Please do not let them onto the furniture.
Overnight Guests
As a rule, guests are not allowed for overnight stays however if you wish to host friends or family, please let Jolie know in advance. We do not allow events at the property unless you’ve asked and we have approved it in advance.
Check-out
Prior to check-out, we would ask you to wash your dishes, strip the linen from the beds and leave them on top of the mattress, and place any dirty towels in the laundry room downstairs, please. Any excessively wet items feel free to hang them on the pegs beside the washer & dryer. Other than that, please turn off the lights and down the heat/AC and lock the door.
It would be appreciated if you would text Jolie at 802 662-0499 when you have departed.
Reporting Damages
Accidents may happen. In case you damage anything in the house or on the property, please notify Jolie before you leave. Damages noted by property management will be reported and costs of repair will be charged to the guest.
Snow & Ice
During winter months, as early as October and as late as April, the driveway will be plowed whenever the snow accumulates to 4 inches or more. Additional precautions are needed during and between snowstorms. A shovel and scoopable snowmelt salt are located beside the front door to ensure exits are always clear and safe.
