Tots Cabin

We are in love with the Tot’s cabin! The cottage is privately located in a wide field, with a beautiful view of the lake from a private cove. Sunsets from the huge deck, were gorgeous. The cottage, inside and out, is very comfortable, instantly embracing you within a zone of peacefulness that is quite profound. The kitchen is new, clean and well appointed with everything needed. The beds and bedrooms are comfy and homey. The dogs were in heaven, running in the fields, the woods & paths surrounding the entire area, & having free run of the cove. The walls of the cove are quite steep, such that the dogs are not able to get out of that theater very quickly. They were busy playing in the water and exploring the area all day! The use of the kayaks and bonus paddle boards were great! We only began exploring the areas around the cove, but alas, the time went too fast! We highly recommend the Tots cottage.

We rented the cabin for a week as a reunion spot for my daughters and their families. My husband and I stayed in the "kids' room" because it felt most like camping with windows surrounding on two sides. It was probably the room everyone wanted to stay in. We spent most of our time on the screened porch and on the deck. Took daily swims in the cove, walks on the dirt roads, and played tennis occasionally. Only drove to Burlington once during a rainy day. We brought large inflatable tubes which were fun to use. Also brought a large expandable gate to block off the deck entrance so the dogs could hang out there with us. Brian and his crew were super responsive to all of our questions.

We had a wonderful time. The setting is peaceful and beautiful. The house sits on a secluded inlet and we saw tons of wildlife (deer, turkeys, a muskrat, mallard ducks, ospreys, ravens, and raccoons. The house came with many amenities and conveniences, which were all very much appreciated. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware, the bathrooms were well stocked, and there were lots of books and games. They even provided a full jug of laundry detergent for the washing machine. Outside there were kayaks, paddle boards, and life jackets available. Many Airbnbs skimp on these types of things, and it was lovely to have them. We also appreciated how simple and straightforward checkout was. No extensive cleaning requirements or hassle. The only checkout items were basic courtesies that any guest should be doing anyway.
