(a DOUBLE) Murder at Braeloch!

We stayed at BOTH Tots Cabin and Finlay's Cove for the 3rd week of August to celebrate my brother Brian's 70th birthday! It was supposed to be a surprise but 20+ people, especially MY family, can't keep that kind of a thing under wraps.

We held three days of games including a wacky double-reverse game of what we called "Cancellation Croquet" where two games played, from each end of the course at the same time and where if someone with the same color ball hit another they could either launch them and get a hit or take their place. It was a blast. Then came cornhole, a vicious pickleball tournament that I think was still not correctly scored right (yes, I'm bitter), and a blind chocolate competition with dark chocolate from around the world.

We also had a Mexican food truck (El Gato Cantina) who came and served the entire family at Tots Cabin that included authentic margaritas! That was followed by a murder mystery dinner at Finlays Cove where we joined teams and had to discover who murdered not one but TWO of our guests. Sadly Brian wasn't one of the victims (just kidding! ;*)

Finally we celebrated Brian's birthday at Hen of the Wood at the Burlington location in the chef's table. It was remarkable.

The location of all three of the houses, Tots Cabin, Finlay's Cove and the Lakehouse make them ideal for large families and collectively they have 14 bedrooms!
